Junior League of Lubbock-Food2Kids Project

The Junior League of Lubbock, in association with the South Plains Food Bank (SPFB) and Lubbock Independent School District (LISD), have created a Signature Project called Food 2 Kids. Sacks of food are sent home on Fridays with children identified as being potentially at high risk for suffering from hunger during the weekend. The Village Shopping Center is proud to partner with Junior League of Lubbock to collect items during the Christmas season and help over 700 children locally. Ronald McDonald House Charities®

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Southwest creates, finds, and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families.

We provide families stability and resources so they can help their children become healthy and happy. We are the warm shelter in the storm. Whether their problems involve staying near and supporting a hospitalized child, how to afford staying together in another city while a child is undergoing treatment or even getting basic medical care in a vulnerable or rural community. We're here to help.

We do this through the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. For more information about Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest please visit our website at

Area Schools

The Village Shopping Center partners with area schools each year to showcase students artwork. Art Trail in The Village promotes confidence, creativity, dedication, patience, and school spirit with the students participating. The student’s art is displayed throughout the Village Shopping Center stores. A student from each school will receive a Savings Bond and the school with the highest participation will receive a donation from The Village Shopping Center. Family, friends, and the community are invited to stop by and vote for their favorite "Work of Art”. View Village Events for more details.
